I was an editor of Grassroots, a literary magazine at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and I am now an assistant editor for the Rose & Thorn literary magazine. I also worked an editorial internship with the Crab Orchard Review for a year and a half. This past summer I was accepted into the New York Summer Writers Institute where I was in Lee Abbott's master class in fiction and will be returning next summer to work with Marilynne Robinson or Mary Gaitskill. I have also recently been accepted into the Sirenland conference in Italy to work with Dani Shapiro, John Burnham Schwarz, and Hannah Tinti. I have published work in a few literary magazines and am working on a young adult novel, a book of nonfiction essays on the forms of fiction under the guidance of author Beth Lordan, and a memoir. I am currently finishing up degrees in English and Psychology.
For writers, we do line edits, full critiques, ghostwriting, general editing and proofreading, assistance with pitches and query letters, nonfiction proposals, and more. We want to see everyone we assist accomplish something with the assistance we provide for their writing and we're willing to do whatever we can to see that happen. Once a project is completed and ready for submission to agents and/or editors, we help guide writers to the appropriate places to submit.
