“Rehatched agreed to design and development a small membership based website within a 2 month time frame for a total of $5,000.
After 6 months of revisions due to buggy code and terrible design implementation we decided to cancel the job. For example, and to get an idea of their attention to detail, the first time Rehatched claimed they were done with the project we found numerous broken links and 404 errors. In addition, we found that Rehatched was extremely inconsistent in their design. They used multiple button sizes, multiple font sizes, multiple text spacing, inconsistent background colors, etc. Furthermore, we determined that Rehatched did not test the site in multiple browsers. When checking in other popular browsers we found that the already terrible design appeared even worse because nothing lined up correctly. We tried to get Rehatched to revise the site to get it somewhat presentable to the public, but they were never able to do so for 6 months.
Rehatched will tell you whatever you want to hear to get the job, but they cannot deliver. We ended up in arbitration with this project. However, the project was never completed, and in fact, only 1 of 3 milestones were met.
In our opinion, Rehatched strung this project out as long as they could in hopes that they could get to arbitration. Also be aware that PayPal will not protect you from Elance. Since they are a web-based service PayPal buyer protection cannot help you.
Do yourself a favor, DO NOT HIRE REHATCHED AND STAY AWAY FROM ELANCE!”
