My Method: I want to understand your needs, even if you aren't quite sure what you want. First, we will communicate so that I can develop an understanding of your project vision. I will provide input so that, together, we can determine the scope and timing of your writing project. If you already know exactly what you want, that's fine. I will simply listen to your needs and make sure I understand what you need me to do. As we work together, I will provide updates according to your preferred schedule, in order to make sure I am still on track and to alert you of any snags in the project.

My Focus: The successful planning and creation of a writing project depends upon many factors. Knowing your audience and your message provides direction for determining your organization and content. When communicating with clients, employees, potential customers -- or indeed anyone -- you must first know with whom you wish to communicate. Then you must know what you wish to communicate and how best to get that message to them. After that, it is time to make sure that all of the details are in order: the grammar and punctuation must be flawless or your audience will be distracted from your message. If you are trying to sell your product to your client, the last thing you want is for him or her to be distracted by an error in the text.
