We're in the process of finishing copy for 3 ebooks, so this job starts next week (Jan 27th) then will need quick turnaround. 1 will be finished first (+ sooner than Jan 27th) and we can use that one as "demo" one to do drafts with and agree on "look and feel" of all three. All 3 will need to be done in same style and feel, but they have different ...
Skills: adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, graphic design
“First, he's an EXCELLENT artist, thats why I chose him in the first place, and the little bit of the project that he DID complete was excellent.
However, the job was a 2-3 day turnaround job, he agreed and promised that. After 6 days he was barely done with 20% of it, gave no acknowledgment that he was WAY late, and offered to get it done in one more day if I paid him more $, or 2-3 days to complete it. He complained that the price was too low (on the bid that HE made and I simply agreed to), and at one point with a small tweak that I wanted that he did not agree with my idea, he said, and I quote" "do not argue with me, I'm the graphic artist!". He complained about having to stay up too late to work on the job, and other stuff. I ended up filing a dispute with elance because he required 50% of bid to start the job (something I never did before and will never do again) and when I wanted to just cancel the job and get someone else because I just couldn't stand working with him anymore and couldn't take him dragging it on even longer, he refused to give me a partial refund.
Like I said, he's a great artist and even a pretty nice guy, but he clearly hadn't read the proposal and terms in full, and definitely was not any good at planning his work and juggling jobs.”
