Technology will never replace the spirit and passion of a living, breathing editor and proofreader. As a member of the Society of Editors (Queensland) Inc., who has spent more than 15 years helping to improve the written word, I am committed to enhancing my skills, completing your project on time and exceeding requirements.
I specialise in editing, copyediting and proofreading, as well as offering ghost writing services. I have a proven track record in developing new procedures, delivering excellent customer service and exceeding requirements. I am motivated, have an eye for detail and always try to get things right the first time. I am looking for part time opportunities to assist clients with their English (US UK or AUS) publications. I have experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, data entry, transcription, copywriting, editing, copyediting and proofreading. I am also able to adapt quickly to new software.
Service Description
I am a stay at home mother, who has kept my skills up to date working part-time from home, studying, and volunteering for the local Kindergarten Committee (as a Minutes Secretary, assisting with updating their promotional material, editing the newsletter and improving their mail merge capabilities).
In order to confirm my skills I have completed a Diploma in Publishing (Professional Book Editing, Proofreading & Publishing). I am also the author of 'eBay the easy way - a Mum's guide to hassle-free casual selling on eBay'.
My key strengths include:

I received High Distinction (90%+) grades in my Diploma; and I have been editing and proofreading as part of my job for various employers for over 15 years.

About Libra Financial Services: A boutique Queensland based Financial Planning business with clients throughout Australia. Responsibilities: Set up and ran the entire Administration side of the business. I began working from home doing all the administration myself and then as we expanded I moved into the local office and trained all new staff members. Key Achievements: Compiled and published a Policy & Procedures Manual for the business, containing step by step instructions for all administrative tasks. Created complex Word templates to be used in specific Financial Planning software; these were subsequently used by the software provider. Edited and proofread most company correspondence and promotional material both online and offline.
