When it comes to writing, does the phrase "good enough" send you into apoplectic shock?
That's what happens to me. So if you have the style but lack the grammar, if you have the text but lack the polish, or if you have ideas but lack the words, look no further: you've found your writer and editor in Scribe On Demand.
My clients range from start-ups to Fortune 150 firms, and I serve as a seamless extension of their marketing and communications team. I draft white papers, reports, magazine and blog articles, proposals, case studies, and other marketing pieces. With my HR legal background, I'm often called on to draft corporate policies, codes of conduct, and employee handbooks.
My ghostwritten work has been published in a number of magazines, including Forbes, Executive Counsel, and The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, among others.
I have more than 13 years of writing and editing experience and am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
I am an Ivy-League educated ghostwriter, copyeditor, and proofreader with a legal background. I practiced law for 9 years for a major law firm and for a Fortune 200 corporation; this background gives me a unique perspective on business communication needs.
I am also the former Editor-in-Chief of a top academic legal journal, the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Labor and Employment Law (now the Journal of Business Law). As Editor-in-Chief, I oversaw the publication of a quarterly 200+ page academic journal, worked closely with authors to polish their articles, and managed 40 staff editors.
Though I have extensive legal experience, I work with companies that span a variety of fields, including engineering, marketing technology, management consulting, education, and finance.
I work primarily with Chicago, AP, APA, and GPO styles. I am willing to learn and apply any other style--or to help you create your own.
Here is a partial listing of what I can do for your business. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
I am comfortable writing on almost any topic (except calculus), though I do have special expertise in the following subject matter:
* Human resources and employee relations
* Employee safety and health
* Electronic discovery and law technology
I have significant experience writing and ghostwriting the following:
* White papers
* Web copy, including blogs
* Proposals, including RFPs and government proposals
* Magazine articles
* Training materials
* Employment-related materials, including corporate policies and employee handbooks

In my editing, my goal is to allow your most polished voice to shine through. I will keep your perspective intact while eliminating any errors of style, grammar, and usage. Where a heavier pen is necessary, I will consult with you before making substantive content changes and notate those changes in the margins. I edit directly in Word using margin comments and the track changes feature.
I have edited the following types of documents:
* Proposals, including government proposals and RFPs
* Case studies
* White papers
* Technical and scientific reports
* Website copy
* Magazine and journal articles
* Internal corporate documents, including employee handbooks, manuals, and training materials
* Marketing materials
