Resume/C.V.

Hello there!

Graduating with a degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Screenwriting, I combine a creative mind with an analytical and numerical overview of my projects. When I set to work on something, I ask myself three things - will it entertain, will it educate, will it make money? Like Christopher Nolan (Batman), I believe it is right to create films that are entertaining, make great box office but that also explore themes that delve into real world matters.

I have written comedy and drama scripts for the BBC and NBC Universal, in addition to a number of stageplays for children. With no limitations on genre or format, my scripts have spanned TV, Film, Radio and New Media, from an Action-Adventure film set in 252BC Mesopotamia, to a Social Media based teen soap opera, to an Adult Animated Sitcom set on the other side of the universe.

Regarding copywriting, I regularly write copy for clubnights and create websites for local businesses. Pleas enquire for further details.

Oldham Theatre Workshop
Lead Writer / Storyliner

OUR TOWN As one of three lead writers, I worked with 7 young writers to create the world's first 'social media soap opera'. With the young writers taking responsibility over handling the fictional character's Twitter and Facebook accounts, the lead writers create daily story lines in real time that wouldn't look out of place in Eastenders. As well as storylining, I also wrote for the character of Paige Sullivan, a 17-year-old wheelchair user struggling to find her place between her disadvantaged school friends and her new friends outside school, within whose 'normal' company she yearns to belong.
