Have been working as a graphic designer and illustrator since the early 1990s. In 1995 I moved to South Africa to work for H. Albert Stier & Associates, a print design agency producing catalogues and directory publications. Although my background was in print media, during 1996 worked on developing CD-ROMs using the early versions of Macromedia Director and produced numerous commercial projects for PC, touchscreen and projector presentations.
It was a logical step from this to move into television and video work, and in march 1997 started working for Route 66 Productions, based in Johannesburg. My role over the next four years was to be involved in all aspects of various television and video projects, mostly wildlife documentaries. I would create presentations in print, web and multimedia formats to sell concepts to broadcasters, design the video sleeves & promotional posters and produced animation and graphics for the opening titles and incidental graphics for the finished programmes.
In 2001 moved to No-Line Productions in Pretoria who produced commercials, corporate videos and television game shows and lifestyle magazine programmes. I produced 2 & 3D graphics for the productions and also all print media used to promote the programmes. At the same time I worked on an occasional basis for top wildlife producer Peter Lamberti, producing animated map sequences for documentary programmes for Discovery and National Geographic.
