I am seeking a professional near full-time (part-time) codeigniter developer who is familiar with taking a existing website and providing new functionality. I would also need a thorough documentation of the website, as the current developer has some documentation, which can be used. The current developer is running 30days+ behind and I need someon...
Skills: codeigniter, html, mysql administration, php
“The work was OK. I provided my php code that I wanted implemented in the current system (codeigniter), which I am not familiar with codeigniter. It took quite a bit of time to get the project up and rolling after I provided the code. After more than a couple weeks, which I only planned for 1 week for this task, the integration into codeigniter was delivered. I asked for thorough documentation, but was given 3 lines of instructions. I would not have paid, but I used hourly rate for the first time, and left on travel, so freelancer auto-paid. I will not use hourly rate again. After I received the code and attempted to implement; there were several errors that needed resolving. I contacted one of the team members regarding the errors, and he stated the below:
"but as you know code is provided by you and we worked on provided code", "as you say you are also technical", "so please suggest where issue is coming"
Prabhash and his team assisted to resolve the errors, as there were multiple files missing in the updated code provided. Now, I can rush people b/c I am the one paying and expect some level of time constraints to be met (in a respectful way), but dealing with team members who attempt to belittle your experience/knowledge, is unacceptable.
This has been a lesson learned that, on a project like this, you have to use set project prices, so if team members are not up to par as they so often mention "good coder/team", then it is their feet that is held to the fire, not yours.”
