Overview

Minimum Hourly Rate $32

15 years experience T-SQL Developer/intermediate DBA. I take all projects seriously, large or small. Personal satisfaction of a job well done is what drives me. I believe 60% of the project is a thorough up front collection and understanding of the requirements (if I've got time to do it again, just do it right to begin with), 30% is the actual work, and 10% is the overhead (housekeeping, documenting etc.). You can count on me for all aspects. No job too small. I prefer to primarily focus on projects that take days or perhaps a couple...

Service Description

15 years experience in writing queries and developing stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server (up to 2008r2). MySQL (Windows OS) administration and performance tuning including MySQL t-sql syntax for querying and differences in datatypes, etc between MSSQL and MySQL (don't let anyone tell you they're basically the same!). Proficient in T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Database Design, Data Transformation, Intermediate (and growing) development skills in SSIS/ETL. Experience with Electronic Data Interchange and various formats, including extensive work in Medicare and State Medicaid EDI payment and billing systems as well as document storage and retrieval. Data Mining, data value troubleshooting, t-sql ad-hoc exportable reports, large text file editors primarily used for mass update t-sql statements requiring modification. I have an old school understanding of object oriented programming, having coded in VB6, classic ASP, html, vbscript, and javascript. I can read/follow code and make adjustments, but not fluent enough in .net or any current programming language to 'blank slate' develop anything- I am not a front end programmer. Database work is what I prefer, it's what I'm good at, and if there are components of it involving some back end logic programming (like a transformer in an ETL package, or minor use of java script) I can do it. I hold a B.S. in Industrial Psychology (heavy use of statistics) with a minor in CIS. I have taken and taught graduate level coursework in...
