Based in Victoria, BC, Canada, I grew up in a small town in Ohio. I became a member of the Ohio Nurse's Aide registry in June 2006 and I have independently studied a number of topics, including women's health, reproductive health, writing, children's health, mental health including ADHD and Bipolar Spectrum Disorder, Autism, Epilepsy, sociology, human sexuality, gender identity, religion, visual art, animation, family psychology/sociology, children's psychology, marriage and relationship studies, Canadian Immigration law, gardening (including small space and container gardening) sexual health, and human intimacy studies.
I got married in September of 2008 to a transgender woman and we are part of the "Grow your own food" movement of Vancouver Island. Currently we have no children or pets of our own, though I grew up with three younger sisters, a dog, and a cat as well as parents with a fourteen year age gap. We plan to start a family in the near future, assuming the economy recovers.
