BS - English, University of Wisconsin - Madison
Corporate Office of Superior Overhead Door.
Besides being a member of the Customer Service/Office team, it is my responsibility to write the promotional letters to potential clients, redesign and implement all service forms and data management spreadsheets, develop procedural guides for office personnel, and create the web content for the corporate website.
Current Volunteer Position:
Miniatures Hobby Events (MHE) Lead Team - Gen Con LLC.
As a volunteer, I developed the MHE program over the course of 10 years for Gen Con Indy, the largest gaming convention in the US. This year I stepped back from Lead Coordinator to manage just the Miniatures Painting & Sculpting Competition and the Aces Charity Speed Paint & Auction events, though I still do whatever is necessary behind the scenes and on site to ensure success. Event Management as a volunteer involves extensive and clear communication through various internet avenues with the Gen Con Auxiliary Events Director, the worldwide hobby community, and industry/manufacturer contacts. To plan, manage, and promote these events requires a passionate love for the hobby, intense focus to multitask, and excellent communication skills to bring it all together.
