I find myself critiquing everything I read, either for grammar, spelling issues, or content. Having worked in a previous life for a major software company doing quality assurance, I not only know how to use most software packages right out of the box, but have also had experience with software design and programming. I approach everything with a creative flair - I enjoy seeing multiple sides to everything and try to be open to the merits of any viewpoint.

I have many diverse interests and creative hobbies. I enjoy writing poetry and stories, painting, photography, running (finished my first full marathon in March), strength training, bicycling, and hiking, in addtion to almost any other outdoor actitvity. I am in excellent physical shape and am willing to try almost anything.
I have been writing poetry since fifth grade. In eighth grade, I entered a poem in a contest for 8-12 grades and won 4th place. I continue to write poetry and short stories in my spare time.
I have three children that inspire me: a 7th grader that is allowing me to re-experience my junior high school years in a more positive way. a 5th grader that shows me more unconditional love than I could imagine, and a rambuctious 2nd grader with a photographic memory that loves non-fiction and video games. If there is a children's book series worth reading, the older two have already read all of the them. All of them are computer literate, and have been since before kindergarten. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with each of them, even though they are each completely different personalities.
I have been using computers since I was at least eight years old in the mid-seventies, and have watched them evolve from the Apple II+ my parents purchased in 1979 to the computers we use at home now (we have both Mac and Windows machines). Technology is indeed amazing.
