Studied Principles of Journalism and News Writing at Uni SA, and learned interviewing skills which involved the formation of questions that were context appropriate, easy to understand, and easily relayed; as well as when to follow leads, and how to read an interviewee.
Great at communicating complex ideas in easy to read discourses, through experience in creative and technical writing.
Understand the fundaments of journalistic writing; the principles of newsworthiness, human interest, relevance, brevity, as well as the structure of hard news stories and feature stories.
Understands the importance of clear; concise writing, as well as writing with a developed style suitable for context and readers.
Some experience in news writing, involving participation in the task of creating a running news story to a deadline, at the same time adhering to the important structure of a news story.
