Overview

I am an Enterprise Level, Senior Systems Analyst and Web Developer. I have been working in this field professionally since the mid-late 90s. During my career I have worked in a number of positions, and had a wide exposure to a variety of systems and programming languages. To highlight a few (more details in my full resume):

Service Description

Senior Developer/Analyst
Private Corporation (under NDA cannot be named)
May 2010-Present

Developing a unique, Asterisk based VOIP system that integrates tightly with various physical security hardware (door controller, cameras, etc.). NDA limits what else I can say about this position. My past positions are given in much more details below.

Systems and Applications Analyst
University Information Systems (UIS), Queen's University, Kingston, ON
Via telecommute from Sydney, NS
May 2009 - May 2010

When I announced I was leaving Kingston to move to Sydney, I was asked to consider staying on as a remote employee. I have therefore been working for Queen's University remotely, from my home in Sydney since the summer of 2009. During this time I have had leading development roles in a number of projects, worked closely with clients, and have documented all of my activities and hours in extensive detail. Many of the clients -- other departments at the University -- were unaware that I was over a thousand kilometers from campus. Phone meetings and detailed documentation have enabled me to develop exactly to the customer's expectations without face to face contact. This skill naturally transcends telecommuting, and will prove to be an asset in any position.

Projects consisted of a Ruby on Rails project implemented in jRuby with Oracle in the back end, a Java/Stripes project, a Java/Struts project, perl work, and an emergency PHP project. The PHP project required...
