Free website to help Solaris sysadmins with patches and bug management of their servers.
It also provides an archive of some mandatory files of the daily operations of Solaris servers as well as some useful tools to maintain and upgrade such servers.
The website is using following technologies:
LAMP: Linux Apache (2.2) Mysql (5.5) and PHP5
Object oriented programming;
Multiple MySQL server with master/slave replications to allow more QPS;
Memcache, APC and other home-grown tweaks to cache and optimize datas;
Cacti & SNMP added to home made scripts specially developped to monitor the resources and the daily batch which is updating the site's content.
I have covered every part of the development of this website, from the infrastructure to the final code and various environment maintenance. The scaling of the infrastructure is also a big point to cover, as the website is now visited by thousands of unique visitors and is counting 500+ registered Solaris users.
During the continuous development and operation of this website, I'm also used to communicate with various Systems administrators and Developers to enhance the features to better fit their needs.

I was working inside the Infrastructure Team as UNIX Administrator in a 2 people sub team. I dealt in a daily basis with FreeBSD, GNU/Linux (SLES 9/10), Solaris 10 as operating system.
