“A more expansive style of communication with the customer would have helped as terse comments, whilst still useful, do not always give the full flavour of question/need. Some delays in communication were the customer's fault, due to the project being run by volunteers rather than a business.
Delays in the project are partly due to the customer, partly to do with the preferred ISP, and partly to do with tksol not understanding the ISP's requirements, which in fairness were not obviously documented on their website. The primary mistake was not starting the development work on the ISP-provided site, as some issues would never had arisen had that approach been taken.
There is some disappointment in the customer's community that the hoped-for user documentation was not forthcoming.”
