For this client I created a password protected Access 2007 program to monitor other companies and websites for SAP coursework/software infringement violations. The system allowed information involving potential infringement violators to be logged and for links and attachments of photos/pages involved in the infringement to be stored along with the records.

For this sales team I worked on 2 projects. The first involved automating the distribution of sales reports. The existing problem was that their department maintained several access databases, each of which contained several reports that they needed to be emailed to the sales team on a weekly, quarterly, annual, etc. basis. My task was to create an MS Access application that would allow the user to select 1 or more recipients and to have MS Access produce the required reports from the various databases and to attach all reports owed to each individual to an email to be sent to that recipient. The second project, involved an intricately formatted Excel Sales Report that was driven by data contained within an Access application. This report had to be done manually because each month there was a shift in the quantity of products and/or sales people within the various divisions reported upon. I created an access application that would use the formatted Excel report as a template and merge all of the monthly Access data into that format adjusting each division in accordance with the latest changes to products and/or personnel.

I took over this project from a prior developer to complete work on this automated email reporting and response system. The system receives emails, via MS Outlook, containing tenant delinquency reports in an Excel format and automatically reviews the reports, stores the data in MS Access and sends out follow-up reports in response to the evaluation of the incoming reports. Clients can then make selections on the follow-up reports and click a button to send their selections back to Outlook which will log the data and send out any further reports or confirmations required.

For this client I converted their MS Access prototype to a commercial grade MS Access application. The application is an office management tool for Optometrists to use in-office for capturing patient information and producing various invoices, letters and reports about the practice(s). An important feature of this application was the ability to capture journal images created by the patients on tablet PCs which were used by the patients to fill out their registration and history forms. These attachments could then be copied to future records and updated as necessary by the physician/patient. To commercialize the product a full runtime installation was created, a keyed demo functionality was built-in to allow limited usage prior to purchase, a help system utilizing wizards and content sensitive popup windows was incorporated, system backup and restore capabilities were instituted, user controllable network configuration modules added and a user modifiable color scheme utility was created. Additionally, user modifiable security modules were put into place to allow assignment of Admin, User, and Read-only profiles to system users.

Acting as a subcontractor to a project for Bridge Bank, I designed and developed a Fee and Invoice tracking system for the commercial properties loan department. The system tracks all transaction information related to each commercial loan as well as audit and appraisal information performed by internal and external staff. Reporting functions are focused on the fees vs invoices activities to give a view of the profitability of each loan.

For this client I coded various import and data transformation routines. The client receives patient billing information from various medical associations in a variety of formats. The client requires that this information be transformed into a HIPPA compliant format for the medical industry. From time to time, as new file formats are introduced I was utilized to modify and/or create modules to handle the importation and transformation to HIPPA compliant format of this data.

Created a donor tracking database application to allow for the receipt and administration of pledges and payments made by the various donors to this school system. The system was capable of tracking multiple pledges and multiple payments against those pledges. Automatic thank you, confirmation and reminder letters are generated by the system as pledges and donations are accumulated. Additionally, I created an application to allow teachers to track the disciplinary issues associated with the students and to alert parents to trends in problematic behavior.

Created a PO/Invoice processing and Inventory Management application. Purchase Orders and shipment information was tied to the Inventory database to alert the user when stock needed to be replenished and when shipments could not be made against current stock levels. Included a companion satellite office database that allowed this client app to be distributed to the various locations and for the orders from these locations to be emailed to the main office for importation and integration into the primary database.

Created an Access database for logging sales calls at various golf courses around the country and tracking open tasks and commissions. After the Access DB was created for onsite usage a Website was created to mimic the Access DB to allow the sales people to enter their sales call information from a web browser. The Access DB was then modified to allow retrieval of the web data for local usage and reporting.

Debugged and modified an existing Excel VBA application for the original developer that left the company. Created a Visual Basic application that uses an Access MDB file as the backend. This application is used to extract the data from the thousands of individual workbooks created by the Excel application and to aggregate this data into a relational structure within the Access MDB. It then provides a simple Interface to allow the user to produce various report sets from the aggregated data sets, as well as to, export those data sets back out into an Excel file.

Revised an existing MS Access application to encompass the various external processing steps into a single application. The application produces passthrough queries to run against an Oracle Database in order to generate management reports and letters on a monthly basis. In order to solve a corruption problem resultant from the large datasets imported into the original application, automatic repair and compaction functionality was further built into the application.

Developed a Fee Waiver client-server Access project. This application presents client account information of non-qualified customers and requires the bank officer to indicate related account information which may qualify the customer for a waiver of bank fees. The system determines the qualification status for each customer and produces various management reports relative to the client reviews. Provided user support during the migration from Office 97 to Office XP. Created a conversion utility that automates all of the tasks necessary to convert existing Access 97 applications to Access XP. These tasks include scanning the network for all Access files, converting and backing up the original files and re-linking to the original backend tables.

Developed a Contract Insurance Management system. This system provides a mechanism to manage the insurance certification process required of all contractors to the County of Alameda. Utilizing business rules provided by the county, the system makes it possible for a user that is not versed in the Risk Management arena to administer the contract certification process. Once the user has entered the contractors' basic information the system applies these business rules to alert the user of contractors having deficient insurance requirements and to print the appropriate letters to be sent to these contractors. Additionally, it provides management reporting functionality and electronic approval of insurance waiver requests. I also created a Certificate Generation system that produces Insurance certificates based upon various user input.

The module created for this Wells Fargo application involved a 2 step process. The first step required the importation of raw data from text files and the examination and categorization of that data for loading into the appropriate tables. The second step of the process required the creation of a user interface that would allow the matching of payments to reversals and the appropriate recordation of those matches within the system.

My payment terms will vary by project scope and client requirements. Larger projects will be divided into mutually agreed upon milestones with payments due upon acceptance of each milestone's deliverable.
