“I don't post negative reviews lightly, but Kairav has been very difficult to work with. Don't use this developer.
Also, part of the scope of work required clean, well-documented code that could be replicated in similar contexts. Kairav submitted the project as complete without even demonstrating functionality, much less providing me with the files so that I could be sure that they were well-commented. After some argument, he finally agreed to post documents on his testing server, but would not deliver final files until I released the escrow. I reluctantly agreed to release the escrow based on his promise to provide me with support for six months. As I should have expected, his code was sub-standard. When I asked him to correct an issue that was explicitly mentioned in the scope of work, he responded by claiming that I didn't have the technical expertise to understand his faulty programming (which is absurd).
I'm left with a project that I paid full price for but cannot use without hiring someone else to clean up the items that Kairav was unwilling or unable to complete. I shouldn't have counted on his professionalism, and you shouldn't either.”
“In reply to the feedback posted by Jeramie,
I would like to mention that i was all good until i was keep doing out of scope functionality and he was keep posting new and important items he introduced past development (was not mentioned in the scope of work and never discussed with me)
But when i denied and said that i will only work for those item you did clearly mention in the scope of work then suddenly everything become too difficult.
I have been keep posting all the updates on staging server and keep sharing all the development with him but he never told me about those items.
There are more then 10 items he introduced past development.
I believe everything should be win-win to both ends.
It is not a fair business where a client will keep sending new changes to the application and a freelancer will keep doing those without any compensation. When we are working in fixed price modal.
How a client can forgot to bring such important functionality in the begining and how such functinonality become so much important past development?
I did clearly mention in my job proposal that i will show all the development on staging server and will provide a url to see the work but later he was keep forcing me to release source files to him.
Why not people do home-work before hiring somebody remotely.
Why not people remember that in business relationship everything should be done as per the agreement.
Why not people treat freelancer as their work partner.
Why people feel like they have to blame others to make up for their own shortcomings.
These kinds of human conflicts hit us all very hard.
It makes me feel like i am too young to understand humen behaviour.
I will stick to my standards, and stay true to what i believe.
Freelancer Feedback Comments for Client:
“1/ Be accurate and specific when you present your work to be done.
2/ Don''t surprise freelancers with new implementation and specifications as it directly reflect cost and time.
3/ Why come up with important details later? Why not before getting started?
4/ Treat freelancer as your work partner and friend.
5/ Stop offering $$$ and start compensating freelancer for the additional work.”
