“I would like to start with the bottom line up front: As a certified PMI and Agile Project Manager, Computer Scientist, MBA and industry professional with more than a dozen years of experience in software development, I would not recommend WebDBApps.
Primarily, WebDBApps missed numerous project requirements and deadlines, which were clearly specified in the Statement of Work and Contract documents (also highlighted via the Milestone function in Elance). Specifically the first milestone of the project was late by more than a week. WebDBApps showed no urgency once the deadline was missed, or remorse that it had been missed. Secondly, the work that was finally delivered by WebDBApps did not meet the minimum work specifications agreed upon when scoping the engagement. Specifically, WedDBApps failed to properly set up the development server, leaving numerous security vulnerabilities in place before our CTO required him to revisit his work. Additionally, WebDBApps failed to install a simple Apache Web Server on the dev server, which prevented any work from being completed/demonstrated for over a week. WebDBApps made countless promises of satisfactory project completion during this time period, but no work was ever delivered.
Finally, WebDBApps frequently slipped in and out of contact allowing at times days to pass--especially when approaching a milestone delivery date. During these time periods, I noticed that WebDBApps would not login to the Dev server or ssh into the AWS instance, indicating that no work could be completed. Additionally, WebDBApps only provided one weekly status report: which indicated that work was 80% finished for a milestone (and on time). In truth, this milestone was incompletely delivered over 1 full week week late. Even though a domestic, native English-speaker at this price point seems attractive—WebDBApps is not worth your time, money or patience.”
