Writing has always been my passion. I am available to assist you on a part time basis until I can build a clientel and work from home full time doing what I dearly love-WRITING. Approximately 10 - 20 hours a week.
As a Realtor in the 70's, I found myself writing tons of ads and articles. I was asked to write an article about the vocabulary of the southwest, as in the very different terms in construction and terrain for folks moving into the area who had never heard of a vega or an arroyo, as an example. It was featured in the Sunday family section of the local newspaper.
My formal writing experience began some 15 years ago with a correspondence writing course which began by describing a person in 500 words. When submitted, the instructor told she could visualize the person I was describing and felt like she knew her personally. From that point on, I have had a keen interest in description and putting the personality of the character on paper to bring them to life.
When writing text for newsletters, I research each topic and cover it to keep the readers interest. My efforts are rewarded with positive comments. Newsletters can be very personal when you recognize employees or staff members, so it is important to bring out the personality of each individual you are featuring and add a bit of humor.
My experience is varied, from the corporate side, as a student, an employer and employee.
