For the last seven years, I was both Assistant Director of Admissions and Development Marketing & Design Officer for Fenwick, a Catholic college preparatory high school of 1,200 students located in the Chicago area. During that time, I developed and created collateral marketing materials including magazine articles, newsletters, direct mail pieces, monthly email blasts and annual reports. I oversaw and rebranded the school’s annual fund campaign, which grossed just under $2 million in the last three years. Additionally, I directed the coordination of a number of fund-raising events ranging from formal dinner dances to award recognition ceremonies, leadership gatherings and alumni sport outings.
As a Developer of Marketing Programs at Lakeview Technology, I wrote and edited copy for brochures, case studies, partner newsletters, and press releases. I managed the distribution of public relations information from Lakeview to partners and end-users worldwide. Prior to that I was Director of Integrated Marketing for Follett Higher Education Group, where I oversaw the implementation of marketing strategies for the online and in-store operation of over 640 retail college bookstores across the country. In that capacity, I also managed a staff of fifteen colleagues whose goal was to utilize creative print and electronic resources, and advise bookstore managers on best practices for increasing sales through Follett’s marketing resources.
