My name is Joe and I'm a young (19) man from England, UK.
I've always been interested in the Web, ever since I first used the Internet. Since then (5~ Years ago) I have taught myself how to design and code websites. More recently (about a Year and a half ago) I began to dabble in programming and started to teach myself PHP.
Many people say that being self-taught is a bad thing but as far as I'm concerned - it really isn't. I know many designers, programmers (etc.) that taught themselves everything they know and they are really good at what they do.
At Schools, Colleges and Universities, people are restricted by how much their Teacher knows (in a sense). Someone who is self-taught is only restricted by how much time, effort and patience they are willing to put into learning a particular subject and I have spent several Years extending my knowledge.
I have learnt so much over the Years, more so than I could have ever learnt at any place of Education.
