Graduated from Havana University, and specialized in Foreign Languages and Tourism, I have over 6 years of experience translating everything from articles and conversations to books and documentaries.
I make translations that help me improving my level in languages, from and to:
Spanish, which is my mother tongue since I am Cuban;
English, learned in Havana University, and
French, learned in the Alliance Francaise de Cuba, with a C1 level, according to the Cadre Europeen de Langues Etrangeres.
My background in subjects such as tourism, history, culture and arts supports my translations where my goal is to make possible the communication between people from all over the world, even if they speak different languages, that need a real access to information.
First, I get a general idea about the subject from the original document. Then, I translate it carefully, giving the information as it was written by a native, taking care of the subject, the style and the audience. Besides, accuracy and deadlines are very important too, when I get involved in any job.
As my best work comes from working alone in the field, since 2004 I have always sought opportunities to make contact with natives from different countries where the languages I studied are spoken.
