I can assist with all stages of the writing process, clean up prose, clarify points, develop voice, and help with formatting. With 12 years of experience teaching and tutoring middle school English, and 10 years of experience editing business articles and white papers, I have edited, written, rewritten, and taught various genres for a variety of audiences, in tones ranging from factual and formal to narrative and casual.
I am British born and raised, American educated, with a liberal arts bachelors degree and an Ivy League masters degree in English Education. In my former life, I taught English Language Arts at three of the most well-regarded junior private schools in the metro NY area, and, because of my passion for writing, I was known for turning out students who could write really well, with purpose and passion, clarity and consistency. While teaching, I wrote several original scripts for youth theater in my capacity as a one woman theater department. I have also tutored privately and for non-profit programs, taught drama and dance, worked as an executive assistant, and edited articles and white papers for a boutique consulting company.
