Experienced Screenwriter Wanted for Novel-to-Screenplay Conversion
Polished, 40,000-word published clean Chanukah / Hanukkah romance novel with several great reviews needs conversion to a screenplay. One of the book reviewers said of the novel: "Right up there with The Notebook."
This is a ghostwriter, work-for-hire assignment only. I will own and retain all rights to the finished, paid-for screenplay.
See the book description and reviews on Amazon's web site for HEARTS OF HANUKKAH by Eve Paludan. (This is the novel I want converted to a screenplay.) It's mostly dialogue, which will help on your end.
For an experienced screenwriter, this should be a fairly straightforward job to convert existing dialogue and narrative to the traditional screenplay format.
I can send the completed novel in MS Word format. I do not have screenplay software, but my contractor should either have screenplay software or an MS Word template of screenplay format. I will need your finished screenplay script delivered to me as a MS Word .doc file or .docx file.
My budget is under $300. Please keep in mind that this story and all characters are fully developed and the novel is complete. This is a novel-to-screenplay conversion, and my hired screenwriter should stick to the existing story and not invent new dialogue or narrative unless something has gone amiss. You should write in American English.
As expected, chapters need to be broken down into scenes. Settings and characters should be described in a screenplay environment, etc. All of the bells and whistles of a traditional screenplay should be in your final delivery.
When you write a proposal for this job posting, please attach a sample of your own screenplay up to 20 pages and a list of credits (even if unproduced), so I'll know you know the ropes and have experience in the screenwriting business.
The finished screenplay will be used to help me get a movie deal, or at least, hopefully, an option. I am an experienced novelist and would love an experienced screenwriter to turn what I believe is one of my most appealing character romances into a screenplay with as much heart and soul as is in this short novel.
Thanks for everyone's proposals. I appreciate your time and effort.
