JoyLabz is looking for a computer engineer to transition Arduino code written for the ATmega32u4 to an cheaper, shorter lead time microcontroller. This is essentially a re-engineering of the Makey Makey (makeymakey.com) circuit board to a new MCU. Hardware: Select a new chip meeting the technical and business requirements for the project (5V, 20 to 22 digital i/o, USB HID, comparable power) such as Silicon Labs C8051F38x, Cypress CY8C32, or Alcor AU9420. The chip should be widely available and cost less than ATMega32u4 in bulk. The chip should have built in USB HID support and the vendor should allow registration of a PID under their VID. Software: Reimplement the existing Arduino C code (approx 750 lines) on the new MCU. This will include implementation of some Arduino libraries (see code link) if necessary. Add one new feature for key remapping (it's a hack!) (estimated 200 lines code) Candidate: The eligible candidate should be an expert with writing software on 8-bit MCUs in ...

I am an electrical engineer working on a new product that requires chemistry skills which I need assistance with. The project consists in creating or presenting a phase change material with 20º or 21º C melting temperature for a thermal energy storage application. Requirements: - The PCM needs to be stored in plastic containers. - Minimum Latent Heat of 150 kJ/kg - Stability of melting temperature and latent heat over 3,000 cycles without need to be agitated. - Ingredients readily available in the market and reasonable cost. (I don't have a figure but it needs to be low cost compared to alternatives. Intended to be used in an affordable product. - High thermal conductivity (compared to alternatives) - Low supercooling - Temp. range 0 deg C to 90 deg C - Not flammable, or low flammability - Less than 10% volume difference during phase change Optional but preferred: - Biodegradable - Non-toxic or low-toxicity Deliveries: - Detailed Instructions to prepare the PCM - Report of tests ...

I am looking for someone to design me a PCB that integrates several off the shelf components. I have found these parts as libraries on eagle cad. The final PCB design will be delivered in eagle cad (or similar) and also gerber files. It needs to incorporate a power input, voltage regulator, atmega (arduino) microcontroller, radio receiver, audio amplifier. I can provide schematics I have found for most of the components in break-out board design. I have attached a diagram showing the current circuit in breadboard. This currently works, although I am happy for you to propose any improvements. The PCB MUST not contain the breakout boards I have shown - ie instead of the Arduino Pro Mini 3.3v, you use its components such as the ATmega168 controller, crystal, pull up resistors, etc. Please note, the speaker, the LED ring and the antenna will be off the board. We simply need connectors for these. Also, we do not need to change the volume on the amp so you can omit the variable resist...

I am an applied mathematician working on a computational model for a very interesting physical system involving a newly identified type of catalysis called 'epicatalysis'. (see Sheehan, Physical Review E, 2013; Sheehan, Foundations of Physics, 2014) I'm seeking someone with a strong background in physical chemistry and a strong basis in object oriented Python programming, to collaborate and review my work. I'm learning Python to develop a stochastic model (see Gillespie, 1976, Journal of Compuational Physics) for a general epicatalytic system to (1) duplicate existing high temperature / low pressure results; and (2) predict the same effect at room temperature and pressure. If this effect can be duplicated in the lab it will have profound implications. But first - honest computations! As an accomplished Python programmer, your job responsibility is to give me review and suggestions for developing good code. As a chemist, your job is to help me learn enough chemistry and stat mech...

Hello, Looking for talented modeler. An experienced individual who has the ability to read 2D architectural plans and create 3D models in Google SketchUp. Fast turnaround is always a plus. For onne project I will need counters for the terrain. The grade and the placement of the building are very important for this study model. I have a request from a client who needs several larger scale models created. I am currently overwhelmed with other projects and need some assistance. I like my models to be clean - no excessive lines or confusing intersections. Examples of large scale / commercial models are required to be considered for this job. If file is too large, please share dropbox links. At this point - All I need are examples of your work and how your charge hourly. Once we have a defined scope... I will need a lump sum quote and timeline for each model. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. Best, Derek

Hi, This job is about a 2D modelling of an Hot Rolling process. I've already made the transient thermal and the static structural simulation in Ansys Workbench, and now it's necessary to couple both thermal and stress systems. Both systems have already been made in Ansys 14.5 (Workbench envirnment). It's a simple job, but my lack ok knowledge in Ansys coupling coding is my limitation on this project. The Model: - Is composed by 2 rolls and a steel bar. Due to the symmetry of the model only one roll and half of the bar is simulated. - The simulation is performed when the roll moves down and the bar moves to the left. As such, the bar is pulled from her left end and the roll is displaced down in Y axis. Boundary Conditions (Pictures attached): Mechanical: -A: In the roll there is remote displacement in Y axis only (Remote disp. in X is 0 and rotation in Z is free); The roll rotates freely, without torque applied, and the contact between the roll and the steel...

Our product is a portable security system that users will be able to install and use without having a technician. The user will buy the "box" and plug it in to the available power at home, after which they will fit the sensors around their house. The sensors initially will be standard magnetic open/close sensors for windows and doors and motion activated sensors. All sensors will run on digital signals. The box will receive an alarm signal from the sensors causing it to go into an alarm state using flashing LEDs and buzzer. In addition the box must be able to communicate with a smartphone using either WiFi or a GSM connection. For this project the we need: - The design must be able to fit into a cube that is 10cmx10cmx10cm - A full circuit design that is capable of taking in 8 sensors using fail-safe design methods - The circuit must also have outputs that will power the buzzer and the LEDs - The circuit must run using a microcontroller with a module to communicate via WiF...
