Looking for someone with advanced FEA skills to create a model of a simple impact socket wrench having specific material and dimensions properties (supplied), and then simulate an air impact wrench loading on this socket for the purpose of optimizing the mass of the socket for a specific target load. Modeling the load of an impact wrench is not simple and built in features in AutoCAD are not what we want. This is not the same as a static load, hence the need for someone with the advanced knowledge to model this correctly and simulate needed conditions. Details of hammer mass inside the impact wrench are different for every brand and model, so will need to be approximated. We can supply ballpark figures of rotational load and spikes of impact typical to an average model. Resistance to spinning is based on thread friction between bolt and nut and given CoF with no lubricant. Here we can assume full tightness and allow no rotation, however some torque will still be absorbed or transferr...

Two finite element models made in Ansys Workbench v14.5, a step-by-step tutorial and a document with all the considerations and analysis. The models are two tanks (steel and concrete), filled with water subject to ground acceleration (design spectrum from Ecuatorian Code). The analysis consists of a modal anaylsis and a spectral-modal analysis. The step-by-step tutorial must be made in a way that a novice user of Ansys can reproduce the models and even create a similar one. The document must contain all the information necessary to understand the dynamic behaviour of the tank. Important considerations: water as a fluid element, convective and impulsive actions in same model, sloshing, flexibility of the wall, uplifting, buckling (diamond, elephant foot), etc. A sample model should be sent to analyze the compatibility of softwares.

I need a function written in C language for Mac OS X, that takes as input a virtual keycode*, and outputs another keycode but corrected according to the current user keyboard layout. The prototype should be : UInt32 correctLayout(UInt32 inputVirtualKeycode); Why ? kVK_ANSI_*** virtual keycodes refer to a key physical location on a US keyboard. Thus, kVK_ANSI_A may refer to the actual "A key" if the user's keyboard is US, but may refer to another key if it's not. For example, on a european AZERTY keyboard, it will refer to the "Q key". What I need, is the ability to specify a virtual keycode like kVK_ANSI_A, and have it corrected by this function to map to the actual code for letter A, no matter the user's layout (and for all other keys of course). It should work for all types of keyboard layouts : QWERTY, AZERTY, DVORAK etc... The mapping of keycodes must NOT be hard-coded in the function, but must use the Mac OS X system API to detect the layout and automatica...
