Our phone system is comprised of two computers running Asterisk. One of them, the "Perimeter" server, has a PRI card in it which connects to the PRI circuit that the telecom provides. We recently switched telecom companies, and the previous telecom provided the phones on B channels 16-23 with the D channel on 24, with Internet service on the remaining channels. The new telecom provides the phones on B Channels 1-11 with the D channel on 24, and does not provide the Internet through the PRI circuit. This Server is setup to do Intra Asterisk Exchange to the other Asterisk Server. The Second Asterisk Server has at least one FXO card in it to handle some POTS lines, and is running Third Lane on top of the asterisk install for handling the actual phones and all of the core PBX functions. All of the Network routing is handled by a PFSense Box, and there are some routes setup to handle the phone traffic in the internal network, this might be where some of the issues are. Curren...

We are running PFSense 2.1 and are going to be hosting multiple PBXs (AsteriskNOW 3.0.1) behind this firewall. Each PBX will be associated with a static public address and a static private address. Here are the needs * Get NAT working correctly so that SIP/RTP/TLS transverses the firewall correctly so we can register phones from the internet to these PBXs. * Limit the addresses accessing these systems via Aliases inside the rules so we can restrict what IP addresses can access each PBX (done but needs to be rolled into the project) We have tried to get phones to register. They will register, but drop a call within a minute. Also the phones drop their registration after a period of time. We have failed with every attempt we have tried. Not sure if we have a NAT issue, port forwarding issue, or just plain dumb and are overlooking something simple. Person should have expert knowledge on PFSense as we have been working with PFSense for years but are not experts. And the person should ha...

FreePBX fresh install with some basic configuration completed. Currently able to make and receive calls but cannot get audio to x-lite client on laptop. Remote phone is able to hear audio from x-lite client. Need someone familiar with FreePBX/Asterisk to review and correct current configuration. I do not believe the firewall is to blame, but this currently sits behind a pfSense firewall.

Hi, I have an issue where none of my networks can access the gateways setup on pfSense. No ping, no internet etc. I'm guessing most likely a rules issue - but I need some help. Thanks

I'm looking for a senior level desktop support tech to provide telephone based support. You must be available from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PDT M-F and weekends as needed. Your work will come to you in the form of opened tickets that have been assigned to your queue. You'll receive an email notifying you that a new ticket has been opened and you'll also be given access to our web based ticketing system where you'll be able to get the details of the ticket, have the ability to add notes to the ticket, and keep track of your time as you work on the ticket. This is also how you'll get paid; as you enter time entries in tickets you are working on, the system is automatically keeping track of your time and you can submit an electronic time card weekly. Preferably you've been working as a PC tech for at *least* 7 years. Experience with servers, both windows and linux is a plus. Experience with Cisco switches and pfsense routers are another plus. You must have a stable Internet connection runni...

Hi Raj I hope you can help me with some pfSense configuration work as I'm having a hard time understanding pfSense's traffic shaping system (I'm sure this comes as no surprise!) We've using m0n0wall at present which has served us well but we're keen to migrate to pfSense, for various reasons, we have purchased our target hardware and have 2.0.3-Release installed and running We have an ADSL internet link which gives us approx 7Mb down and 700kb up On the older m0n0wall system I created used the traffic shaping wizard 2 pipes which allowed me guaranteed bandwidth for the VoIP system and for the rest of the network, and assigned them along with various queues and this works great. I have imported the m0n0wall config from the old system into pfSense, that part went smoothly, and the system works OK and has all the config from the old system including DMZ zone, firewall rules, PPPoE and VPN setup. Now we come to the trouble part? The trafficshaper on pfsense looks awesome, and I'm r...

I downloaded and installed OpenVPN on my PFsense router. Remote clients using XP machines can connect to the VPN server, but cannot access the local LAN hosts behind the Pfsense. Port 3389 has been open on router and port forwarding to specific hosts has been configured. I am looking to establish the connection between remote clients and a local lan.

- We were originally searching for assistance with deploying strongSwan. - After re-evaluating our requirements we have decided to deploy Vyatta instead. A. We like Vyatta's support for openswan. B. We plan to use OpenVPN (on Vyatta) for remote user connectivity. C. We have a long-term need for DMVPN. - I'm now looking for someone with experience deploying and managing Vyatta. - THIS PROJECT IS FOR PHASE 1 ONLY. - If the engagement goes well, we plan to use the same contractor for Phase 2 & Phase 3. (FW1-pfSense & FW2-SonicWall) Phase 2: - Assist us with moving Vyatta into production and deploying additional IPsec tunnels. (Dedicated hardware. CentOS.) Phase 3: - Assist us with setting up DMVPN. - Again, I plan to award this project as soon as we find a qualified resource...
