LAMP + Symfony2 + Github installation on Mac and deployment of test project
I'd like someone to walk me through a symfony2 installation on a Mac OSX 10.9 and then creation and deployment of a very simple 1 page site.
NOTE -- this will be a training process. I will share my screen, you will tell me what to do and I will do it. You need to be a good teacher and guide with excellent written English.
This process will include:
a) walk-through install and configuration of Apache (we will uninstall it first)
b) walk-through installation of php5
c) walk-through installation and configuration of mysql
d) walk-through installation of Symfony2 (first without vendor libraries and manually adding them, then without vendor libraries)
e) walk-through creation of a simple web project (simple form that transmits data to email) that uses Twig
f) installation of git AND github
g) forking of github repo
h) deploying from github to rackspace hosted server
At the end, we should have a full symfony2 development production environment and a live 1-page project. I will do all the work on my computer; I will share my screen and you will tell me what to do.
I expect the whole process to take 5 hours MAXIMUM (hopefully a lot less). I'm not a complete novice but, by the end of this training, I'd like to understand the process from start to finish.
