Hello, I have about 20 hours of transcription to hire out. Perhaps up to 40 hours. The digital recordings are between me (an american woman) and a man with an arabic accent, but not a strong one. They are just the two people and they are good quality. We do talk about middle-eastern political issues, so if this is going to disturb you, you won't want the job. You will have to sign a nondisclosure agreement. I do need these done in a decent amount of time.
If its going to take you a week to transcribe two hours, don't bid. If it's going to take more than three working hours to transcribe one audio hour, don't bid. You should have experience, typing skills and speed, your own transcription software, and experience doing professional transcription. You won't have to do any research. any sections you can't understand can just be notated with the point of the recording where it is, and I can fix it later. Efficient professionals only. No beginners. the recording is for the purpose of a book I'm writing about this man's life, so the recording is mostly him talking at length, with me asking occasional questions. Depending upon how long it takes any individual transcriptionist to finish each audio hour, I may have to hire two people to get these done within a reasonable time frame. but if you want the work, and bid reasonably, one person could get the whole job.
In the "work arrangement" section below, I listed this as a job for ten hours a week for 3 to 4 weeks, but that's audio hours, not working hours. You can either bid for your working hours or for actual audio hours. If you bid on working hours, I"ll first send you just a single hour so we can see how long it takes you to transcribe an audio hour.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR BID SHORT AND TO THE POINT. thanks.
